You don't like friendly people?

I am drawn more by a tremendous selection than by staff who want to chat with me. I prefer to wander around and really hate being asked "can I help you find something?". If I need you to help, I'll ask. If not, then I don't. Just a "hello and we're here if you need us" is fine for me. I want lots of fabric choices in good lighting. That is enough to make me a happy camper.

1. Friendly, knowledgeable staff who smile & greet you - but don't follow you around
2. Current fabric lines by groups (not all mixed up) good blenders etc
3. Variety of books and patterns, beginner to expert
3. Shop Samples to inspire you
4. Good Lighting
5. Seasonal & other displays, change things up
6. Seating for book browsing - or a tired DH

They must have a comfortable easy chair for my husband to sit and read in while I shop. Otherwise I am in and out in about 15 minutes.

And a section of FQ on sale.

I only read one of the eight pages of comments...and can easily tell you it's a friendly, knowledgable staff. We all know we can get fabric at Joann's or Walmart even...but do you get the one on one you can get at a quilt shop? My closest quilt shop is over 36 miles each way a 40 minute drive easily each way. I don't get there often...but love the service & friendlyness of the staff.

Definitely a friendly shop where people actually do customer service. Hard to find but when you find one you will go back again and again.

I live in CA. and in my city we have only two quilt shops, one is newer and they are much more friendly but I don't actually like their kind of fabric, so I shop online.
Now there is no one in our city (700,000!) who does good repair s I go out of town to this little town called Porterville and where I go they have Janomes (which is the machine I have) and they are so nice and do not charge you much for service. They only charge you for the part + like $30 for how many hours it takes him to replace it. You cannot get that kind of service anywhere here in town.

Friendly helpful staff that will leave you alone if you don't need help. LOTS of clearance fabric and sales.
