What a Mess!

I usually totally clean and organize, vacuum, dust, etc after each quilt is done. Well, I've gotten a little disorganized by starting several projects and not having finished anything recently, so the sewing room hasn't been really cleaned in a bit other than making enough space to start the next project. Now, I need that room for a guest. AHHHH! I spent all evening up there and have come to the incredible realization: I need to get rid of some stuff so I have more room for material! Good thing I started early. It's going to take all week to make enough space for the air mattress to go on the floor. Can anyone on this board put a guest in their sewing room for a weekend?

Ha ha ha ha ha!

Heaven's No! Not enough floor space in there. Unless they want to sleep on the hard desk and risk falling off! LOL! I do have sleeping accomodations in either of the other two spares to put up a couple in each room. In a pinch I could put someone on either of the two couches (family room and living room.) But, I hardly ever have that much company anymore.

Interesting question. I'm guessing that your guest will snuggle down under one of the quilts you've made. Maybe they'll be so impressed with the quilt that they won't notice any mess. Best to make sure there are no pins lurking on the floor ready to puncture the airbed!! Hope your weekend is fun.

Umm... are they able to sleep on top of a sewing machine?

I've slept on the air mattress in my sewing room & let the guests have my bedroom. Also cleaned out the linen closet for fabric storage.

I wish I had a sewing room! I have to wait for a kid to move out before I get one. I'm not ready for that step yet!

That's the whole point of claiming the spare room as a sewing room. Guests needs to stay in a hotel.

Ummm. I could take a guest in my sewing room if I cleared off the design wall, AKA queen bed, the ironing table, AKA nightstand, fabric storage dresser, AKA, other nightstand, and pincushion, AKA carpeted floor.

Not me! I don't have a sewing room, so the Living room, dining room and garage are all well used, which is a more polite phrase than 'a mess'.

I do have two bedrooms and a bonus room that are in good shape, though. To bad your guest will be visiting you in San Antonio, TX!
