I want to make a quilt from the Dr. Seuss story "Oh the Places You'll Go!"
I want to do it about 38 x 50....I have a drawing made this big...now I am not sure what would be the best method...(fusible) applique, machine piece, hand piece...I am not worried about the lettering...but the actual background...and swirls...or whatever they are... Any ideas? |
Wow, that will be challenging! I think I would go with fusible. Start with the bottom color and then overlap the next color arc just a tiny bit.
Any chance you could find some swirlly fabric and use that? I think I would look on line and see if I could find some.
Dr. Seuss fabrics do exist but nothing like this...
your word program has a great little feature my daughter showed me...Its called Word Art. It makes the wording as big as you need. Also if you have access to a projector..It will help. =)

I think I would go with fusible applique.
Love your inspiration. Use fusible.
I would do the applique with fusible.
I think I would applique this one too. But with all of the layers, I am not sure I would use fusible as it could get rather stiff even with the lightest weight fusible. Maybe a form of finished edged applique instead, either hand or machine stitched :D:D:D
