I thought it looked like a form of a snowball quilt. Her videos always look so easy. I agree, she is a very talented lady and I, too, enjoy her shows.

I also thought it was a form of a snowball but was quilted in the middle of each snowball.

I'm glad you shared the link. I didn't know what the quilt pattern was, but i sure liked the bags. They are on the to-do list now! :-) Laura

when i first saw this quilt, i thought it was hexagons/snowballs. now, you made me look again, so now i see that they are octagons, AND i see the stars for the first time. smack me in the forehead! thank you for another look!

If you google Vintage Snowball quilt pattern the third site down for an Etsy store has a very similar quilt. I think the quilting on the white blocks in Jenny's quilt make them prominent.

To me it looks like 4 small drunkard's path blocks sewn together.

a similar variation is found in Ruby McKim's 100 Patchwork patterns as Beautiful Star. Ruby's granddaughter has some of her patterns on a website about her or i have it if someone wants it. the difference from this is that there are small diamonds or triangles between points of the stars. If these were done same color as the setting squares then it would look the same as the video.

I believe it's called Arkansas snowflake or hummingbird. You could check on quilterscache and find the block.
