I'd vote for the second from the left. Such a pretty quilt!

Being a lover of all things purple any one of those would be fine. I just adore this quilt, amazing job!

Number two. It will not pull the eye from the beautiful stars and courthouse steps.

I too like the second one from the left; it seems to make the colors in the quilt pop.

Sorry to be the 'black sheep' but I like the first one as it seems to pick up one of the prints in the quilt.

I too like the dark purple that is second from the left. I like a dark colour on the edge to put weight on the outside of the quilt.

Edited to add:

Unless the entire quilt is very dark. Then I think a bright binding if there are bright colours in the quilt looks great.
