A badly written hard to understand quilt pattern!

For this quilter: empty spools, small scraps, thread. It all falls to the floor and gets swept away.

Most of my time if I sell a quilt!

Bad advice? I guess that is true in anything ;-)

Edited to say, I don't easily throw things away, but I am learning to let things go. Some times I am able to pass them on to interested parties, other times I've been known to take the easy way out. The "what" is subjective.

Bent or dull pins. I've also had no problem throwing away some gadgets that proclaimed to be the next best things since sliced bread because it was a pain to use and didn't hold up to their claim to fame.
