I read on here somewhere that you can either join some guild online or else subscribe to a magazine and you get 10% off each purchase at Joann's. Does anyone know anything about this? I don't have a chance to belong to any guild so thought this was a good idea for me to save money at Joann's. TIA

I am a member of QCA. There are more membership benefits, and the quilters on the site are a fun bunch.

If you join the AMERICAN SEWING GUILD asg.org you get one, also with Quilt Club of America. It gets you 10% off your whole bill EXCEPT coupon items. If you shop often, you can easily save MORE than the membership costs. Also, many quilt shops honor the ASG card and many online shops, you just read in the notions magazine the many additional discounts you can receive such as Nancy's notions.

American Quilters Society also gives you a discount card to use at Joannes if you join and you receive a magazine subscription with your membership. i've been using this one for gosh, about 5 years and love them.

yes, it is great to get 10% off at Joann's, I belong to a guild and took my membership card into the store and they gave me a card that has a bar code on it like a credit card that I use now to get my 10% discount at the store

I belong to Quilters Club of America and the American Quilting Society. Get free magazine subscriptions with each (QCA - Easy Quilts and AQS their magazine) Also along with QCA you get access to lots of shows and how to videos as well as QNN-TV. You are right, if you shop at Joanns for quilting supplies, it more than pays for the price of membership. I love the magazines too.
