squaring up quilt tops, especially large tops. YUCK !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't have any dedicated cutting space yet.

Basting. can never seem to get it square, love binding. I set and watch tv and zip right along.

I sometimes wish I had a sewing room but I'm doing okay with my little corner of the dinner table.
Ironing and cutting are done on my portable dishwasher WIP is on a corner of the buffet or draped over a chair back I don't mind cleaning up I have to because I don't have a sewing room but that's okay because I can't work in a messy or disorganized space anyway-makes me panicky overwhelmed and physically upset I hate not being able to find things |
I dislike the sandwich making process, especially with a large quilt and no table large enough to take it in one go.

Mine is trimming selvages off the material for backing. Don't know why. Also, if I would have known how much ironing is involved, I might have thought twice about this quilting thing. The ironing doesn't bother me much any more.
Have you seen Bonnie Hunter's Smith Mountain Morning pattern? I am making this in a King Size for my son, and it came together beautifully with purples, greens and neutral batiks......will post a picture later..... |

Having a project I am excited to start, then realizing that I have to clean up my sewing room BEFORE I can start. And, obviously, cleaning up after!
