I have 2 yds of the print, 1 1/2 yd of the tan and 1 yd of the black on black.
I will make a lap quilt but just need help with a pattern. Don't have to use the black I just threw it in the mix! I have looked at so many quilts on here but I guess I am just kinda stuck for this print even tho I really like it. Thanks for your ideas! |
Sorry, I'm not seeing a picture.

Ah - didn't give it time to load!
|
Warm wishes would look nice.
|
D9P would be nice, also.

I have that same fabric. Couldn't decide what to use it for so I used it on the back of a quilt. It worked out good, almost looks like a reversible quilt.
|
That is the neatest print, there has to be something creative you can do with it.
|
Why not just use the print as a panel. Cut it the size you want, add a couple borders and you have it. I think it would make a great looking quilt. If you stitched around each color, it would look pieced with stitch-in-the-ditch quilting.

I can't see it cut up either! Maybe that is why I can't decide what to do with it. I think maybe I will just use it as a panel and make borders around it. Thanks for all the help.

I really loved this fabric too. I made a square in a square variation on point with it. It gives the quilt a lattice like look. It also looks like I pieced the center strip of each block LOL
It is only two different blocks, 3 strips in the center with the focal fabric on two of the corners. One block is made with a light, the other a dark along with the focal fabric. These blocks are 12" and the top is 5 X 6 block. It worked up VERY fast. I am looking for a darker fabric to border it so I can finish it up :D:D:D Sorry the picture is wonky, but it was the only place I could lay it out right now  Quilt Top Block One Block Two |
I used dark toned scraps on a throw for dh and used the patch work for the back.

Amma - Love it great way to use the fabrics

Or use it in a big block pattern where you don't have to cut it up so much like turning TWenty! |

Amma, I love that top. I also have that fabric and didn't know what to do with it. Would you be willing to give the directions for the top? You did a great job!

This was easier than trying to cut the angles for the end pieces of the center strip. |

I also think that the original question, which pattern to use with your fabric. I think your patterned fabric would look great s a panel or trying the point on point would look great. Can't wait to see which pattern you choose. :D :D :D |
