I looked in my Blockbase and couldn't find anything. I wonder if whoever quilted this, combined different facets from various blocks. Good Luck

I have no idea, but it's beautiful!

What a beauty! To me it looks like some of the designs or possibilities from the "jewel box" rulers from Phillips Fibre Art (http://phillipsfiberart.danemcoweb.c...osaic-pattern/) - at least the inner circle.

You might try Googleing Images of Medallion Quilts.

To me, at first glance, I saw elements of a dahlia quilt..googled that and couldn't find it..I even searched by google image and got nothing. I sure hope someone on here recognizes it. I bought it at goodwill..I will try to replicate it if I can, but a pattern would make it so much easier!

do you have a closeup of the prints used? It may be an import. Still very nice though.

My thoughts too. Even so, it is a good looking quilt and interesting pattern on my screen.

It is gorgeous, but I've never seen it before.

Looks like mariners compass. Is that center appliqué or piece work.......

hybearn8er 07-05-2014 06:54 AM

It looks like a variation of marti ms dahlia quilt.

It is beautiful

Could be someone designed it using "slice up a circle" don't remember who wrote the book but the techniques are great. Very interesting quilt.

It's lovely. Is it old.?

donna13350 07-06-2014 11:44 AM

I have no idea..I bought it online from goodwill...it will be here Tuesday, and I'll post better pics. It does look like a dahlia quilt, but it seems to have variations added, such as that solid circular ring ...I would love to know if this is the maker's adaption or some pattern.

My take on this is very pretty, got similarities to dahlia and lone star combined, lady probably did her own pattern..... is pretty

Looks very much like one I bought at Sears, had shams that matched, and I enjoyed it for several years...have now moved and was gifted to someone. Was hand stitched I think, but not made in the U.S.A. Very pretty.

why doesn't Sears have quilts like that when I go in?? I hope you find or devise a pattern for it that you can share! it certainly is beautiful!
