I saw two similar contemporary quilts Saturday at the New England Quilt Museum. Took a photo of one but neglected to write down the name. I love the use of the small Dresden Plates. Can anyone tell me the name and designer of the pattern? Here's a picture

I don't know but it's lovely. I really like the setting.

Oh how gorgeous!!! I have no idea but thanks for sharing. Maybe someone will know.

The museum might have some information.

It was a BOM

Thank you, alikigirl. I would have guessed that it was a real antique. Beautiful pattern....

That is a lovely quilt.

I'm not trying to pick nits, I'm just curious. What makes that quilt "contemporary"? It looks pretty traditional to me. Is it the way the blocks are set into the quilt?

All I know is it is absolutely beautiful, colors, pattern and all.

I think she meant contemporary as in made in this time period, not an antique.

What I meant in wording my question was that it was not an antique. I saw it at a museum.

Looks like it could be a "block of the month" quilt. Or was it made before BOM's existed? Beautiful quilt. Oops, I posted this before I read QuiltnNan's post. Looks like she nailed it!

Amazing how some of you come up with the answers so quickly. Loving this forum more all the time.

I agree, there is nothing contemporary about it.

Right click on a picture, and choose the option "find this image in Google". Then page down in the results and you will see where several quilt shops had it as a BOM.
