what pattern to use
1 Attachment(s)
I've had this fabric for awhile now and don't know what pattern to use using 2, 3 or all of these fabrics. Can someone recommend a pattern please. The fabric on the far left is a forest green.
Thanks!! |
Square in a square. D4p. great colors!

If you would like a toned down color option, exchange a medium grey for the forest green. Grey is very nice with lavender.

Get a copy of the Quilts from the Quiltmaker's Gift. (http://www.quiltmakersgift.com/). There is a pattern in there with a basic pinwheel motif that looks like your colors. Greens, lighter green pattern, deep red. Don't remember the name of the quilt but you will love the book.

love the fabric with the balls/circles.
why not wait till Judy does a mystery quilt again. should be soon. |
This is a nice looking quilt. Don't know if it would fit your fabrics though. http://land.missouriquiltco.com/disa..._campaign=t075 If you don't like that one how about Snowball/Nine Patch? You could also do Warm Wishes or Turning Twenty. Good luck.

My new favorite would work well with this; it's what I call 4&1. A large square of the focus fabric, then a 4 patch of the coordinating fabrics. Alternate across the quilt, and the 4Ps make a bit of Irish Chain across the diagonal if you keep the colors in the same place each time. More scrappy looking if you let them fall where they may.
You could use your focus fabric for one of the small squares or add in another color, perhaps the pink. This one is done scrappy, but it also works well with controlled fabrics. |
Thanks everyone. I'm going to use the one from missouri star quilts. I have 1 more to make so I'll look to see if the others mentioned will work.

In my opinion, you don't need that very bright print at all and you need to send it to me!:p
