A front loading ink jet printer seems to be the best. Why do I believe this? Because my friends come to me when they want their labels printed.

I have an HP printer [all but fax] and DO NOT use the Best when printing labels as this tends to bleed from too much ink. I use second best. I iron the washed and ironed fabric onto freezer paper, then cut the leading edge, then iron again, then print.
