I'm just getting started so here is what I've done so far:

Bowtie
Applique Heart (machine satin stitch)
4 Diamond (paper pieced)
Birds in Flight (paper pieced)
Cobblestone
Applique 3 Butterflies (hand embroidered edge and veining)
My next lesson is a Reverse Applique Rose using 3 layers of fabric. It looks scary.

My friend here in Indiana taught me how to make them.

I did a search online as they are called The Original Quilt Patis

The ones I bought are 1 inch per side Hexagons, plastic foundations

http://quiltpati.tripod.com/

I called her on the phone and she told me what stores in my area carried them so I went and picked them up at store. I called the store to make sure they had them before I drove there.
Also you can order them directly from that website, I talked to the owner by phone and she is so nice. Enjoy!

The hexagons are addictive, so nice that you can carry them with you to work on in the car, Dr. appts., etc.

Ok I chickened out on the reverse applique. I'm just not good at turning under fabric.

So the next one I did was a stained glass owl using negative space for the "leaded" area.

Next on the list is a biscuit block.
