What is a Seiko patching machine???
 
what is a Seiko patching machine ??? has anyone heard of it ?? There is 1 coming up in an auction on the weekend just wondered about it as I had never heard of one before

I don't find any info for Seiko Patching machine. You might want to contact the autioneer for the model number and look that up on the Seiko site.

I googled "patching machine" and all products that came up were for patching shoes.

If you're talking about a Sashiko machine....well, it's basically a machine made Babylock that does a handstitch only. It's expensive and the front looks great and the back is IMO an unattractive chain stitch. Google it or do a search here, there have been lots of threads on it.

I found the auction site the OP was talking about - it definitely says "Seiko". I'd never heard of Seiko sewing machines, but they do make them - even longarms! Who knew?

thanks for that link. I found that website but didn't find that machine. probably no use for a quilter but was qurius as I had never heard of one before.
