What size block did you use to make your circle (quarter cirle) quilt?

I will finally have a chance to sew this week. My first project will be a batik quilt with drunkard's Path type quarter circles, but not put together with a 'path'. I have quite a few 10" squares, but I know I don't want them that big. The F & P pattern I saw used 7", finishing at 6 1/2, but that seems a little small. I'm thinking a large size throw quilt - maybe 72" by 72". If you've made one and have a picture, I'd love to see it. Thank you.

It won't open because QuiltNan removed the copyright image. We must remember not to post anything that has a copyright.

I love making drunkard path quilts. Here are a couple I've made. I used the templates from Alisa's Back Porch in the 7" size and the smaller 3.5" size. The red and white quilt has the 7" block and the other quilt has both sizes. This quilt is actually the first one I made with the templates in a class. I think the 7" size would be a good size for the quilting you're thinking of making.

My pattern looks a lot like your second one without the small circles. Did you cut at 7" or finish at 7"? Either way will leave me a strip to use in a border when I use the layer cake batiks. Thank you for the pictures.
