What size needle for PP?
I'm using a size 14 needle for my pping and it is pulling the paper and fabric. I'm using printing paper. Should I be using a different size needle? Any help would be appriciated. Thank you in advance.

Maybe drop down a size and make your stitches smaller

Is your needle dull?

Is your needle dull?
I just put the needle in today. |
I have a friend who is a very experienced paper piecer and she told me she uses a denim needle, which is a 16. She said it's the shape of the point rather than the needle size that helps it pierce cleanly. I haven't tried it yet.....

How about the quality of paper you're using. I used the thinnest, cheapest paper I can buy. I usually pay about $2.00 a ream for it.
Where do you get your paper? |
