Want to make a quilt throw big enough to use on a lazy boy recliner. How big would you go? Please .

I like to make these 60 X 72.
You have enough to wrap around you that way and tuck in under your feet :D:D:D

Depends of the size of the person using the recliner. Do you want it to wrap up in or to spread on the recliner? How about taking a tape measure & measuring the seated area of the recliner. Since your making it, it can be a custom fit.

50x60 or 45x60 is usual.depends on how long one's legs are and how much you like to tuck.

Thanks for the responses. It will be used by a big man.....but can't let him know it so I can't really measure.

most of my snuggle on the couch or chair quilts I make as 60x60"

my son is 6'4" so his snuggle couch quilt is 60" x 80" he loves it, says it perfect! i wouldn't go smaller than 60"x72" for a large man. smaller is going to be like a wheel chair lap quilt for him
