what would be a good size for a wheelchair quilt.

toomanycats 06-22-2011 07:34 AM

I should probably rephrase that to a lap quilt to be used in a wheel chair. shouldn't be too big but just not sure.

We do 45x45. Flannel backing keeps it from slipping.

thank you emerald. I hadn't even thought about the flannel and slipping. see, I am totaly unprepared today for even a thought.

I was going to say the same. About 45x45

Make it the same size as a baby quilt...

I saw one in a magazine somewhere that had ties attached so it could be tied at the back of the person's neck so it wouldn't slip. Keeps both upper and lower body warm.

I made one with a separating zipper. The person using it, can sit on it, zippered up it keeps him/her warmer.

Love the separating zipper idea.
