I was just looking for miniture blocks & got to wondering what was the smallest block you have ever pieced. I cut the templates & the fabric pieces for a tiny 1.5" moonover the mountain. Only now I can't figure out how to get it together. Any suggestion beside toss it in the trash?

My smallest was a galaxy star that was 2.5" I made two of them and need to do two more. I don't have any tips for you. Though the pattern I'd seen of moon and mountain was applique, so I suppose you'd just applique the moon and then add the mountain.

I made a whole "quilt" that was the size of a matchbox! It isn't actually quilted, but I did piece it! :D

I made 3/4 inch nine patch blocks to make a mini single Irish chain that I used in a wall hanging scene.

I too love the midget blocks, here is a site with alot of free block patterns which are mostly foundation pieced,.
http://www.sentimentalstitches.com If I remember correctly, the block size is about 4.5" finished size If you google miniature blocks, you will find lots!! Have fiddly fun!! :D |
I made one with 2 1/2 inch blocks...Man, was it a challenge handling all of the teeney little pieces...I think it is better to use paper piecing method when making the micro-minis...

I made a paper pieced bookmark with 2" blocks. At least I didn't waste as much fabric as I normally do when I paper piece! LOL!
