I usually have several things going at once and then as I get each one finished up I'm glad to be done and I always have new ideas especially since I've been on this board there are so many projects to try I'll have a forever list and I'm glad to have it. Sue

I am actually in a funk because I just finished one that was so fun, the others don't look nearly that great.

The closer I get to finishing a project the more I work on it because then I can get to the next one. I love it when that new quilt comes out of the dryer all fresh and soft. :)

It is a sad thing for me because I always end up giving the quilts away. I do take photos and must get busy one day and get that book organized so I can enjoy the quilts once again. My latest quilt went out the door after 66-1/2 hours of work but I did have it on my sewing room bed for about a week before I called to say the gift was ready. lol

I'm just the opposite - the closer to completion I get, the faster I want to go to "git her done"

Yes, but what a great feeling of accomplishment!

Yes, I've had a few of those - usually for good friends and always for the grandkids! I was smarter than I thought, though, with the grandkids' quilts (home from the hospital, 1st birthday quilts, other quilts, pillowcases). I saved at least a fat quarter from each project, and am finally making a Grandmommy's quilt - which is the same pattern as their 1st Birthday Quilt ("Fat Quarter Fun" by House of Quilts 1998) but using all the fabrics in their quilts. That way I have all the grandkids with me when I snuggle up into it. THAT makes up for the sad withdrawal I had finishing them, despite the happy-happy occasions and just-for-fun times making them.
