Did you check to see if there is a clear plastic tab over the battery? Sometimes for a new product you have to remove a little plastic thing before you first use the battery operated object. If the batteries are truly dead, then I guess that's a reason why someone didn't need them anymore and added them to the bag?

Geesh.... Guess she'll never get a quilt from her daughter...and she shouldn't. Sad...

I didn't know such thing existed, but now I want some. What a great idea.

They are finger lights. I have about 30 of them. I use them for hand sewing, cutting fabrics, walking the dog at night, and instead of candy we gave out colored ones to trick-or-treaters. They 're great and inexpensive although you may occasionally get a dud.

Finger lights are for kids to play with. How is that suppose to be used for sewing/quilting???

Never heard or saw such things before! I still cannot picture using them while using your hands...I have trouble getting used to wearing a thimble while doing handwork, much less flashlights on my fingers! How about toe lights -walking thru house at night to see what one is stepping on... have a cat that lays toys on the floor all night long right in the middle of my pathways! This would be helpful--- just kidding!

A novelty thing for kids parties...battery lasts 24 hrs....just a waste of money imho...

You guys are right, because they look just like the picture on amazon. I managed to pull the band out enough to get my finger in, although it's pretty tight. But mine will not light up! I guess the little batteries must be dead? I got a brief flicker out of one of them.

The link to Amazon says they are for kids so maybe too small for adult fingers?

I have them. Dollar tree also has them in a set of 4 or 5 diffrent colors. I never use them but the grandson loves playing with them.
