TIA Lisa

I hear that gray blends with almost everything, have I done it?, no. Love your quilt!

TrenbeathRanch 09-12-2011 06:58 PM

I'd use a gold or wheat color

Granny Quilter 09-12-2011 07:01 PM

What's wrong with black?

SMR 09-12-2011 07:03 PM

Black was the first thing that popped into my head.

I like the thread to show, so I think I'd use orange.

Murphy 09-12-2011 07:10 PM

I, too, would use orange or a variegated orange. This is a lovely and fun quilt.

Great quilt!!! I'd go with black (1st) or orange.

I have a few black/orange variegated threads from Valdani that I plan on using on a Halloween quilt.
http://www.valdani.com/product_details/2
Search for Color#'s M61 and M804

Mind you, the quilt is not even made yet. But I have the thread.

There are a ton of variegated orange only threads as well.
(It's a wonky website.)

Your quilt is great! Perfect for the season.

How about a big grey spider web that covers the whole quilt, with a spider either appliqued on or quilted into it?

Lady Crafter 09-12-2011 07:53 PM

How about green on the front and orange on the back?

quiltingcandy 09-12-2011 08:20 PM

When I do Halloween fabrics I usually do orange on the front with black on the back. But you can do anything. I do remember one quilt had so much purple in it that I quilted it with purple thread. You can even switch off.

It looks wonderful. Please post again when you have it quilted.

wow I think that's a great idea but I think it's above my skill level

I would probably choose this also.

BETTY62 09-12-2011 09:44 PM

Cute quilt. I use a nuteral color on everything.

Willa 09-12-2011 10:21 PM

Do they make glow in the dark thread? If not black would be my choice.

OOOO, I like this! Maybe in a black to show up well! Or in the glow-in-the-dark thread someone else mentioned.

the casual quilter 09-13-2011 07:23 AM

I'd go with a black.
