I tried out all the chairs @ Office Depot and bought one there. They don't come cheap but my back is worth it!!!!

what I will do. The chairs at Staples are pretty crappy now. |
I just bought one from amazon.com and LOVE it! So comfortable and it adjusts easily to any surface I'm seated at. Plus the back & seat are mesh so no sticky threads or cat hair like my old fabric covered chair! I have the white and it's so pretty.
This is it: http://www.amazon.com/Flash-Furnitur...ite+desk+chair |

I found out it's not necessarily your chair...make sure you are seated at the correct height, I have spinal arthritis and when I got that adjusted correctly it helped tremendously...wish I could remember the name of the site where I found the info.....

I bought a comfortable nice quality air lift office chair and took the back and arms off. It's a stool like in the Dr. offices and works great for sewing for a long time. I have five of inexpensive air chairs from Walmart, took the arms and back off, in my sewing room right now underneath a 12 x 8 lay out table. I have friends come over to sew and they love the stools. But if someone weights more then 150 lbs buy the better chairs. I learned that lesson when the air lift gave out on the cheaper chair for one guild member and it embarrassed her. :(
