It's woven but I'm just not sure what to use it for.

Scarf/shawl or a skirt.

dphelps 10-30-2011 03:59 PM

Floor pillow? Kilts? A shaw or scarf?

That is one that the more you cut it, the more it will fray. It could make a nice throw just the way it is with the edge fringed. You could use it in the inside of the mock cathdral window pattern where the edges will be covered by the windows?

Looks like wool to me. Would do a burn test before mixing it up with cottons in a quilt.

scarf

Kilt! heh heh heh

cape, shawl or a throw. Fringe as far as you like then zig-zag along the last thread of the fringe. This will keep fabric from raveling. I like the colors.

Looks like Kilt material to me.

Thanks! It's a bit bright to make into a skirt but I might make it into a throw. Thanks!

Wool or acrylic? I use woolens but get rid of acrylic--pilling, dog hair and lint magnets. (It's very pretty.)

A table scarf or runner?

memaw4 10-31-2011 08:58 AM

A lined skirt. Lots of different tops would go with it.......

seasaw2mch 10-31-2011 11:00 AM

how about some really manly Santa stocking for the boys!
It's very pretty but it would still look good for stockings or even a nice table topper. Or when it snows you could always use it for snowman scarfs.
There are so many things it could be used for but I don't use material like that in quilts because I would be afraid it wouldn't stand up to all the washing it might get.

Sorry, this site is still so new to me that I just now realized how to find watched topics. I still haven't figured out anything to use it for just yet so, with the busy holidays fastly approaching, I tucked it in a tote in my sewing room.

It's beautiful. Dolly blankets, doll skirts, pet clothes.

jrtpetey 11-27-2011 11:17 AM

It looks like a scarf to me.
