This is for a t-shirt quilt I am making for my mother. I am using up my stash here. This is some fabric my sister sent me a while back. There is not enough of one of them, but together I have plenty. I don't want it just pieced down the middle but have to finish this today because tomorrow I am renting a longarm. I was thinking of doing one giant block but can't decide which one. What do y'all think?

I just use a sqare or rectangle center with borders when using up fabric for the backing.

How about strips of alternating fabric 5-6" wide or wider.

Hi Gwyn in Spokane. I think an alternating border with them would be cute too. You did a wonderful job on the quilt.
Very cute. Can't wait to see it finished. Stay warm  |

Beautiful quilt. She is going to love it. I would do strips.

I love the idea of a giant quilt block for the back! If the quilt is square, it should be easy to find one you like. If it's a rectangle you'll have to think more.
I'm very partial to classic blocks. With two colors, bowtie always comes to my mind. The math for that would be easy to calculate for size, also. Pleas show us what you end up with. Your idea intrigues me. |
How about the stars in your avatar?
