What will you be doing today?

What will you be working on during the storm? I am going to cut all my projects and put them in order to start sewing!! I just might have to use my treadle...... if i can find the leather belt!!

I'm working on a bunch of hot bowl holders that I plan to give as Christmas gifts. I sewed them together last night (4 of them) and THEN realized that I hadn't sewn in the darts that make them curve up to hold the bowls. So, I did some "unsewing", and will try again today. :p

No storm here, so I'll be watching football all day! Yippee! :)

Just finished a Quilt for Kids and now cutting squares for Saturday's play date (mini-retreat.)

Praying for all of you in the path of the storm. I'll be watching Hallmark movies( saw the same ones yesterday) and hand appliqueing. DH will be watching football (through his eyelids ~~ get it?:D). We had only one hurricane this year -- Issac. The area sugarcane recovered pretty well and we're in the middle of harvest season. I hope you all do as well.

Whatever you will be doing today and in the next few days, here's hoping and praying that you will all be safe and sound!! Weather is pretty calm out here on the other side of the country - chilly and dreary. A great day for football and a nap!!

I altered a dress for GGD for Halloween that I made for her Mom many years ago. Then did 4 placemats have 4 more to go. They are part of our guild chairty project.

I bought storm supplies (food, batteries etc) did get all the furniture in the basement moved, rugs rolled up, shop vac all ready to suck up the water that comes through the basement floor. I should get some tops done while I can, so I will have hand stuff to do. I have books and batteries for the dvd player.....In all my years, I have to say that this is the first time that I truly am scared.

Nowhere around the storm. I cleaned house today and cut out pieces for another quilt. I will start on it tomorrow night when I get home from work. I sure hope it goes together alot faster than the one I just finished. This one does not have any HSTs. and not many matching seams.

I was BUSY! Covered my yard furniture for the winter, dug up the Elephant Ears and potted them so they could come inside, put garden ornaments in the attic, ran the vac in the house, swept the porches, repaired the ear on a concrete fox, finished a pillow for Zach and made one for Gabi. I watched 60 Minutes while I was making the pillows. Now I am headed for bed so I can jump up at 5:30am .. I meet 3 friends every morning for a walk of about 5 miles.
