If you were to make a lap quilt for your favorite couch potato... what do you think would be the best size?

I make mine about 50 x 62. That way I can use 14 inch blocks with a small outer border. But that said, I usually pick a pattern I like and adjust the size to fit.

I do about 45X60 that way a crib size quilt batt works

It might depend on the size of the couch potato. I always think that too much is better than too little, so I'd go twin size.

I like about 60 x 72.

I like to make mine on the large side, 60" by 80" and then it could also double as a twin bed topper. I also have big guys and a small quilt just doesn't cover them up!

I like roughly 60 X 80. I am short and I like to wrap up in them.

50 X 62 to 60 X 80...it depends on the recipient :D:D:D

I agree, I hate it when they are too small

Our quilt group makes lap quilts for the nursing home. We make them 36x36 for wheel chair users.
