Absolutely. I just made one. No problems what so ever. Also make just quilt top and plain cotton backing without batting. Perfect for Florida weather. When the air-conditioning gets too cold, while watching T.V. Great little quilts. Saves money too. No Batting at all. Love, love, love it!!!!!

You can certainly do it and I have with flannel. I have found Minky difficult to work with because it has a nap and stretches.

Absolutely. Every baby quilt I have made with Minky, Snuggle, or flannel backs do not have batting. Small ones, I don't even quilt or tack down. Larger ones I will do some quilting on top.

I did that on a quilt for my SIL. I think HE thinks the weight is ok, but I don't do it again. It felt flimsy to me. Just my opinion. Next time I will use the lowest loft poly I can find that does not stretch.
