O.k. I have to jump in on this one. I too have a large stash of CW repros. I've had a plan to do the Underground Railroad with some of them or else the Pioneer BOM that they posted to the board last year. I'm sure I have enough to do both of these and probably more.
Would anyone here be interested in maybe doing one of these as a group again? You wouldn't necessarily have to use C.W. prints but they certainly work well.
I think I would be more like to dig into them if I were doing a project as a group.

Just skimming this post (will read it more in depth later).

If you don't want any of the C.W. reproductions, let me know. I will trade or pay you for them. I do 1860s reenacting so any reprints of the fabric come in handy for stuff. :)

AkAngel,
tempting....but I have my hands full with the Jane Stickle group, mini swap, and various fabric swaps. I'll leave the latest sew along to you talented quilters.

Exactly what will the EQ6 CD do?

Farmer's Wife should be in a format like the Dear Jane software is...each block in that one is set up with options of traditional piecing, foundation piecing, and applique when needed. You decide which options work best for you and press print...viola! Instant pattern. You can adjust each block on the Jane software to a size you want or include other variations, too. I LOVE IT!

You do need EQ5 or 6 for this one. Dear Jane is a stand alone program.

EQ6 has so many options, I don't even use a good portion of them yet. It's a design software that has a large library of blocks, fabrics, embroidery designs, etc. You can preview a quilt by picking a block and making it repeat, watch video instruction on the CD, utilize add on software that appeals to you (like the Farmer's Wife), easily print block patterns to your specifications and more.
