I was thinking of quilted casserole carriers for DIL's and older DGD's, but I was thinking that last year and never did make any. Maybe this year I'll actually do it.

Why not do pillow cases. You can use pretty Christmas prints with a contrasting casing (the bottom hem) My granddaughter loved hers last year.

Am only giving 2 quilts this yr and that would be to my oldest of the grandkids. I enjoy making placemats

We moved just before Christmas last year and had spent several months renovating our house before that, so I declared it the year of the pillowcase. I bought flannel at JAF on Black Friday, and it became pillowcases and corn bags. I think this year I'm going to start early and do more flannel PJ pants - those are always popular.

I have a man's large mitt pattern which use 1/2 yard of fabric. It is Simplicity #6440. The pattern also include 2 apron views. One apron has a large black kettle with steam on front that is a pocket . the 2nd view is a wine chef. If you think you can use it I will mail it to you PM me.

My two sons are grown and so are my two grandsons, so I just give them all money. They have everything already. My little great granddaughter will get some kind of gift. She will be 2 in Sept. I might make pillow cases decorated with lace and ribbons or towel sets decorated with lace and ribbons for my adopted daughter and a lot of nuts or something that has to do with the Dodgers baseball team for my adopted daughters husband.

What alot of lovely ideas - think I am going to go with a simple shopping bag and then fill them with some homemade jams and preserves and bought goodies will try and do 2 a month - have six to do so its not a mad rush nearer the time!!!!
