Just one comment - I see I am in good company with things that I should not have spent money on - LOL!

I have cut way down on gadgets and expensive items. The fabric delivery truck (UPS) is my favorite item these days, just can't pass up good sales on fabric.

I "inherited" a lot of my BFF's quilting things when she passed away. There was a whole plastic tote filled with gadgets and I finally got it out the other night and only picked out a very few things. Most were Useless to her and useless to me. Kind of sad.

I bought the Martelli binding system at a quilt show and hate it ....too complicated. Sold it on ebay

I use the needle threader ALL the time and love it!!

Is the Teflon pressing sheet like the applique pressing sheet? I only ask because I have both of them and use them a lot. Having said that for me they were good purchases.

Love this thread! I always wanted a Accuquilt Go Baby and then someone donated one to our church quilters. I bought the die for the rag quilts but it was such a pain to have to clean the die after every other cut. Is the problem me? After using it for several things I am so glad I did not purchase one. I am a sucker for magazines. Now that I have my designated sewing room I took the time to pull all the quilt patterns I was interested in and place them in clear sleeves and in a 3 ring binder. Marking pens, I have a ton. I wish I could find one I loved. Thank you everyone for your comments. This has been so informative.

My serger. I am afraid that when I run out of the threads that are on it I wont be able to figure out how to rethread it so I don't use it. I also have a mid arm quilt frame and machine and since I got my Bernina with the stitch regulator I haven't used it either.

OMG! This is my Wall of Shame! There aren't too many things here I haven't owned, and it's painful to think how much money I could have used for fabric--or donating to good causes.

I have a Viking Designer SE and am very happy with it, but I feel guilty for never using the embroidery capabilities and 90% of the stitches. Just gave the Altos2 away after close to 10 years. I've never had any luck with rotary blade sharpeners. Max Throat (mentioned 'way earlier in this thread) was not only an expensive mistake, it actually kept me from finishing quilts for two years as I was DETERMINED to get it working (how dumb is that??).

And then there are all the things I'm going to use "someday": PaintStiks, fabric dyes, specialized sewing feet...

I saw this being demoed at an expo this week, they kept saying only one color was ironable over and over, I'm guessing you weren't the only one :)
