So far, out of the ones I have done, Jacob's Ladder is my favorite. I think when I'm gona with my sampler, I'll make a twin size with that pattern.

How about you?

I'd go with stars too! All of 'em, sorry can't narrow it down more than that! Oh, I also like baskets and appliqué flowers and hearts, pieced or appliqué .... oh sorry, I can't pick a favourite!

I do not have favorites, but if you are saying style, I love appliqué, am working on appliqué, and I love crazy quilts. Pieced patterns are great as well, okay, I pretty much like them all!

Jacob's Ladder is my favorite too. Particularly the variations one can build into the path. I did one with floating pinwheels.

But I also love 4-patch and 9-patch because they can be combined with a variety of alternating squares.

I think the few blocks I do NOT like to make are pineapple and grandmother's flowergarden.

Wow! I love to see that I'm not alone in loving the Ohio Star. I also like pinwheels and flying geese in balanced patterns. 8)

The most fun to make is a pattern by Nancy Zieman that is no longer available in print. It is so simple and fun to do. Use as many different fabrics as you want. She uses 13.
Cut strips 1 1/2, 2 1/2, 3 1/2, 4 1/2 and 5 1/2 inchs wide.
Then you cut and combine the different size cuts so that you end up with a 6 1/2 in block. Combine 4 to make a large block.
For instance use a 4 1/2 with a 2 1/2 both cut at a 6 1/2 in lenght. You have a 6 1/2 in block. Finished blocks are 6 in.
There are so many combos to form a 6 1/2 in block. 5 1/2 plus 1 1/2.
Three 2 1/2 make one. Two 3 1/2 and so on.
Makes a beautiful quilt.
Her video is on qnntv but you have to pay 24 bucks a year for membership now. It used to be free till Fons and Porter bought the website.
