We do quilts for the American Hero Quilts donated locally to Ft. Lewis, Washington, quilts for Children's Hospital (in memory of a little boy in our church who passed away), Relay For Life and the local food bank.

I made this watercolor quilt for my daughter using the pellon fusible watercolor grid. Glad you enjoyed seeing it, Pat.

Thanks for noticing, Pat. I made this for my daughter and it has over 1000 2" squares. I used the pellon fusible grid as a base.

This is a duplicate posting because I'm new here and didn't post the picture correctly. I couldn't find a delete button for the post above.

Thanks also everyone for responding to my request for charitable organizations. I never knew there were so many. Now I've got plenty of choices and a lot of research to do.

Wrapped Up In Sports! Boston-based charity that donates New England sports team quilts to children in need. Check out their website at www.wrappedupinsports.org We just had a "Quiltathon" yesterday at Fenway Park and completed over 50 quilt tops!

If you live in Ohio check out MY Very Own Blanket. They give to children who are taken from their homes and placed in foster care. They are very proactive and very much involved with the groups that must remove the children.

There are so many organizations that can use quilts. Here are some I've helped. Preemie quilts for the local hospital, Kids in Care for children who have had a rough go, trauma quilts for people who have had there house burn down and their left with nothing. Our local Rotary Club help send dentists to Vietnam to preform rhino-plasty surgery (cleft pallet)for the people there. They wanted quilts for people in the recovery room. We also made quilts for our hospice house. You asked so here they are.

Our quilting group has worked on quilts for a children's hospital, children in foster care and lap quilts for nursing facility (we needed to use up our "old people" scraps). Mostly I enjoy it when we work for a particular group, such as a children's home or orphanage, etc. and make quilts for the group.

I agree I like it when I know the group, not that I can't dream it up, but my grandkids usually grabs those before my eyes close...
