What is your favorite fusible fleece?
Do you have a fusible fleece that you prefer using for making tote bags? Are they all the same thickness and stiffness?
I used two layers of the Pellon fusible fleece for a tote bag which made a pretty stiff bag, and for another bag used some regular fleece so it is much thicker and softer. I like both of them, but think I'll use the fusible fleece from now on for ease of quilting it. Thank you very much for sharing your experiences with fusible fleece. |
I have never worked with fusible fleece (is it fleece, or fusible batting?) but if you like the regular fleece better, you might consider buying a light fusible product, like Steam and Seam 2, and fusing it to the regular fleece. You may get a less stiffer result.

I use the Pellon fusible fleece. I've used it for totes and for wool applique (I prepare the background, fuse on the Pellon, and then applique the wool pieces.). For stiffer tote bag use I've used fusible Pelltex. The Pelltex is also great for making a wallhanging stiff for hanging.

I've used fusible fleece without any problems. I use it a lot for purse handles, makes them firm and not too stiff.

My new fav is Dreamy Fuse by Lazy Girl. Yummy! I usually use Pellon 987 but recently changed.

There is pellon, one is very thin, and one has a nice weight, you have to pay attention to it; I love floriani but it is super expensive compared to pellon
