I didn't always work with patterns when I started quilting, but now I use them so much more and have really fallen in love with a few! I am smitten with any pattern by Bee in My Bonnet, but I am working on her Family Reunion one right now and it is to die for. :)
I thought it would be fun to see what everyone else's favorites are!! Cheers! Rachel |
i rather like that creme brulee that was posted earlier today, but i couldn't find the pattern for sale. it was in a magazine. so i got out my EQ and drafted it. i can't say, though, that any particular pattern is my favorite... there are just too many beautiful quilts :)

I love so many it would be hard to make a choice. I also love working on my own designs.

How could you possibly pick just one?

My favorite pattern is always the next one I plan to use!
|
I haven't found one yet that I would care to use more than once. That said, there are so many out there to try that I can't imagine making the same one twice anyway. Never enough time to get it all done as it is!!

My favorite is always the one I'm currently working on.:)

I was trying to think of how to answer this with humor - because I don't have a favorite - when I ran across someone else's answer below. I agree 100% with JRLOCKLIN!!!!

I am fairly new to quilting and haven't found a favorite yet. I love all of them! Maybe when I get more sure of my skills, I will find a favorite.

Storm at Sea. Just finished cutting for my 3rd one. Its going to be queen size.

There are very few patterns that I have used more than once. I like the zig-zag of carpenter's star so I may use that for borders and the like. I like the friendship star and hunter's star and may wind up using the friendship star as corner stones in sashing and the hunter's star as cornerstones in a border. I love an old chinese lantern pattern that I found in Blockbase (it is also on quilter's cache) and have used it. If I see a pattern I like, I buy it but rarely follow it completely (usually get bored in the middle).

I guess if I really had to pick a favorite it would be a log cabin, because I have made so many of them, and they're all very different.

I dont have any favorite patterns but like half square triangles since they are used in so many patterns.
Used alone or with squares the possibilities are endless. |
I have fallen for American Janes Merry-Go-Round pattern this week, i've spent my crafting budget this month though so will have to wait. I've bought 2 owl patterns by Susie C Shore recently, love them both.
I really like Dresden Plate and Grandmothers Garden too. Googled and love the Bee in my bonnet patterns rachel, you have increased my I want list  |
