Lazy Girl makes some terrific bag patterns.

Still in the process of making my first Bow Tucks tote and my SQA sent me the Lazy Girl Design 'The City Bag'. It is large -11 x 17 with a front and back pockets and inner pockets.

My Bow Tucks is the large and I think I want the small also.

I don't have a favorite bag, but I make a lot of wonder wallets. I love making all kinds but only really use the polso pouch and wonder wallets regularly. I've got a couple of patterns using grommets to try next. Here's alink to my webshots pictures of bags and quilts; there are a lot of duplicates, but just ignore most of them :))

I have made a few variations of the Heart of Mary messenger bag. I love it. I made the small one last fall before going on vacation. I'm in the process of designing a bag myself... it is hard to find the *perfect* bag... I tend to shy away from ones that I only see a picture of since you really just don't know if it will be perfect.

I don't change my purse out every day - or even often. I begin to use one and I stick with it for a long time.

OH GEE ....This is a hard one. My all time favorite bag is one by BUTTERICK B4148 (A) version. Then there is a VOGUE V8140 All three are nice bags when you are finished, but the "A" version I have made tons of and still get request for. McCall's M4851 is a nice sized tote with an organizer and lots of pockets. I personally love the black with multi colored accents one.

The Gee's Bellino backpack bag is the next one I am making when I find the fabric I want to make it in. And last but, not least, is a book called Purses Bags & Totes by Cindy Taylor (Taylor Made Designs, publisher) This was a gift to me by my late friend kitty. There are 14 wonderful ones in there to try.

There is a pattern called screenplay that are fun small gift bags. You use colored screening to make them.

Oh ... and I have made a few of the bow tucks.

I have a box of leathers that was gifted to me by my buddy, pat smith. I really need to try and play with that.

By the way... The one in my atavar is a bag I designed and won fourth place in a contest with. The key chain has a garage door opener in it. Here is the photostream site with the pics ...

in my opinion the first one is always "trial n error" and then you critique the next one and so on....dive in and have fun...once you do you will NOT regret it!

Just bought this pattern yesterday plus the fabric, can't wait to get started (hope it takes only 2 hrs!).
