What are your New Year resolutions that deal with quilting
 

Mine are: 1-no new BOM's this year, I will continue to follow the ones I've already started but won't add new ones (this will be difficult-I love BOM's but I have so many collected that I'll never get to them all, so why not stop now). 2-Finish at least 1 quilt each month. 3-Do a different technique for each quilt, but not repeat any technique back to back - January I'll be working on a paper pieced quilt, February I'll work on patchwork, March will be applique and repeat the sequence unless something new (in my current collection) catches my eye. 3-If I finish my quilt before the month is out, I'll try to do a scrap donation quilt. 4-Fight my fear of FMQ and do my own quilting. 5-Take one new class from "Craftsy". May not be on quilting but I'll at least try to alternate between non-quilt classes and quilting classes. I think this is reasonable and attainable. I'm I overlooking something? What are you planning this year?

I want to finish more projects than this year when I only completed 6. I do have 5 tops that are either complete or nearly complete so I should be able to finish a lot quickly...IF I don't get distracted and start something new.

Use more stash! Buy less!

i want to finish my Dear Janes

Before I start anything **** ORGANIZE MY SEWING ROOM *******
1. Work on my UFO's (too many to list).
2. Practice FMQing and try new patterns.
3. Complete 3 swaps on the QB I signed up for and complete these projects.
4. Start and complete round Robbin (Brat started on the board), but we do our own projects. We do not send the quilt out in the mail. It looks exciting.
5. Go through the 23 lessons on the EQ7- program. Then Create and make a quilt from my EQ-7 program.
6. Make 2 mystery quilts (Bonnie hunter's and about quilting's).
7. Make quilts for my brother (started), sister, 2 friends (2/3 completed on 1 quilt ), and co-worker tee shirt.
This should keep me busy for a few years.

Do something new & challenging on each quilt I do to stretch my skill level. More paper piecing, curved seams & Y-seams.

1) I will make my first queen size quilt. I have only made lap quilts.
3) I will try new techniques.
3) I will improve my free motion quilting.
4) I will buy more fabric. ( at least I know I will do this one for sure! ha ha)

Before I start anything new this year, I must finish everything I started last year. Each project must present a new challenge. Buy less, use more stash. Take at least one class. Convince DH to convert room in the basement for my sewing etc. (This will be nearly impossible, but one can hope!) Be less critical of my work. Continue to work/learn fmq. There's tons more, but I need to be realistic!!! Looked back at my list and realized I limited finishing things started last year...have several from the 2012!!
