Does anyone use Sulky? I started with that and have sure had good luck. I've also used Superior, Robinson-Anston and Coats and Clark (don't like the new stuff coming out of Mexico). Anyway, I would have to say that Sulky is my favorite.

I use C&C Dual Duty or All Purpose for most piecing. For quilting, I use C&C but I have to put sewer's aid on it and I have had several cones that I pitched due to breakage or knots. I have used and love Robison-Anton 50 wt cotton machine quilting thread & Sulky Blendables 30 weight. I also have some King Tut but haven't used it yet. I prefer pre-filled, 60 wt poly bobbins for piecing & quilting.

I use all different kinds. Have heard a lot about superior threads so I may try it too.

For piecing I use Masterpiece by Superior. The stitch is just beautiful and the lint is minimal. For quilting I use Connecting Threads Essential. It shows really well and is inexpensive. I have recently bought Aurifil 40 wt and will try it next time I quilt.

I use cotton in the top and Aurifil in the bobbin. Aurifil literally is non-linty and the bobbins last for ever. It's a bit pricey but worth it in my book.

Aurifil can't be beat.

I prefer sulky rayon for piecing and quilting. First, because there is no lint build up (not cotton thread, rayon) and second , I love the shimmer look when quilting with it, it's so pretty. I just love it!

Rayon is inherently a weaker thread. For quilting? Fine, if that's the look you want, although poly embroidery thread give the same look in a much stronger thread. But, piecing??? Sorry, but piecing with rayon will make weak seams and a weak top. I wouldn't piece with it!

I love how we are all mostly different and the same too. I use several different kinds of threads for different applications. No super favorite yet.

I've used many different ones - sometimes whatever I could get my hands on. I like the Connecting Threads thread a lot and have good luck with it in my Bernina. I also have a Babylock embroidery machine and it absolutely hates Coats and Clark thread.
