I love Fons and Porter "For the Love of Quilting". I also like Quick Quilts. But I'd suggest buying a magazine for a couple of issues then decide which one suits your style. Me, I subscribe to about 5 or 6. I love my magazines!

I am not a magazine type of person, but broke down and ordered Fons and Porter, because it was so cheap just recently. I can find lots of patterns on the internet, but love to dream about the more complex ones. From Santa I got the Sew Scrappy, from Better homes and Gardens, with favoties from American Patchwork and Quilting. I think AP&Q is a wonderful beginner to intermediate magazine, I started with that one years ago and still have a bunch, as the patterns looked like fun.

I always go back to "Fons and Porter Love of Quilting" . I used to get McCalls as well they have 3-4 different ones, I like them all.

I get:

F&P Easy Quilts
Quilt
F&P For the love of quilting
BHG American Patchwork & Quilting
The Quilter Magazine

and I let Quilters World expire.. I wasnt impressed with that one..
