What's the difference - Hoffman Watercolors & Kaufman Prisma Dye Batiks

Can anybody tell me what is the difference between Hoffman 1895 Watercolors and Robert Kaufman Artisan Batik Prisma Dyes? They're both batiks that "read" solid.

Do you prefer one over the other? If so, why?

The first picture below is by Kaufman and the second is by Hoffman. To add to the confusion, the two makers names sound a little alike, too!

Sorry I'm no help, I go by sight and feel, not brand name.

I haven't touched the Hoffman, but the Kaufman fabric - I guess it is called the greyware? is just supremely fine-woven and has a wonderful feel. There is a watery-look to the batiks but they have a crispness at the light-dark color intersections, like oil and water, where some others I've looked at are blurry or smeary looking.
Oh forgot to say IMHO LOL!

I love Hoffman fabrics, however I don't know the difference between the two.
