Holice,
Thank you for the lead. I checked their website yesterday, but they had none listed. I give them a call today. Michael |
Jacee,
Thanks for your response. Michael |
Myreda,
$25.00 would be a fantastic price, but I don't think that's going to happen. Even the people who list in Craigs List around her are asking ridiculous prices. It's cheaper make a purhase on Ebay. Michael |

Thanks for the response. Some people, especially those on Craigs, think their machines are worth $350.00 in poor condition. In the long run it's cheaper to purhase a refurbished one. Thank again, Michael |
Akro girl,
I agree with you. Michael |
In my opinion it makes a difference on how patient you want to be. If you want one today...you'll pay dearly. If you wait until the right deal comes along - you'll get one at a great price. My choice was to wait. I have a friend who does house clean outs and ran across one. He charged me $25 as long as I was keeping it for myself (which I was). I just posted a link to a white FW listed in Trenton, NJ where they are asking $250, which from what I've read hear is not a bad price for a white one.

Look at the Singer 301 too. It's more versatile, is only slightly heavier and does the same stitch as the FW. Even uses the same bobbin. The price is more reasonable too. Good luck!

I paid $300 for mine, and it is a 1934 year. Some of the gold leaf is rubbed off from use, but runs fine. of course, $25.00 for one, people don't know what have. Barb

I just paid $195 ($206 with tax) for one at an estate sale this past Saturday and considered it a great price for the area. Around here, they go for $300-500 easy with little variation.

NJ Quilter,
Thank you for that information. I'm in no hurry so I wait for the right one to come along. Thanks again, Michael |
