I've had some of those kinds of quilts. They seem to get pushed aside. I guess you had better get it out and get cracking on it. I guess I'd better do the same.

Two years. Did the blocks as a BOM but just couldn't decide how I wanted to finish the center design and sashing. Now it's at the LArs and the binding is ready and waiting.

2 years but I didn't work on it consistently probably would have taken me 3 months if I worked on it constantly with work

It took me 35 years to finish my 10th anniversary memory quilt! We are now at 44 years.

11 years & counting---could take another 11- we shall see- it's far from completion!...i have finished a couple recently that took 10 years---so there is hope.

Oh, I forgot my Farmer's Wife quilt, too! I started it when everyone here did, in 2011, I think? I did great at first, now I haven't worked on it in a long time. I really, really, really like that quilt, too. In ten years someone else will probably post this and I'll probably say that quilt, LOL!

For the quilters that posted that they just finished one that was a long time in the works, I bet that's an awesome feeling!!!

I started my very first quilt in July of 2006, thought the fabrics were too garish to be in a quilt, and finally finished it in January 2012. My tastes must have changed, because I loved the quilt when it was done. http://www.quiltingboard.com/picture...s-t174293.html

I just joined a new guild on Thursday, and if I remember correctly one of the members brought in a quilt that was made from a UFO about 30 years old.

I'll have to tell you when I finsh my first quilt, started in 1989. I have finished a bunch since then but that one still sits unfinished. Maybe I'll finish it before I die. Maybe.

This is a wholecloth quilt that is being hand quilted. Started it about 25 years ago and it only needs one border to be completed. Alas it is using that thick awful wadding but I must get it out again and see if I can finish it.

It took me 7 years to finish my first 'sampler' quilt and I still use it today.
