I like using the curtain rings, but I hang them on a curtain rod. Makes changing the quilts very easy and with the rod securely mounted I don't have to worry about the size of quilt needing different holes in the wall.

My best move was to purchase two sets of No-See-Um hangers from the Ami Simms website. I rotate my quilts so having these hangers allow flexibility in size and location without a single hole in the wall. Command strips do not mark the wall. I loved the accompanying plastic level included with each set. Way to go, Ami!

I have some fancy skirt/trouser hangers. I clip them onto the quilt and hang it from the railing.

I have the kind of wood hangers with the marbles -- they work well. I got them at a quilt show -- they were hand made by the local high school wood shop.

I make a rod pocket and buy curtain rods with fancy ends. Then I hang them with Command Hooks that are big enough to hold those rods. This way I can change them according to seasons or just move them around when I get the urge.
