Oh, CRACKER! I love those & haven't made a scrappy one in eons. Thanks for the inspiration! Tho I seem to be long on inspiration & short on time... LOL!

I made 10 quilts for David s house out of this missouri quilt double slice layer cake, I made my own 10" squares. Will be making one dozen for next year out of 12" squares - easy, fun, and ends up being different, even with the same fabrics.

Sometimes I just start piecing - maybe some kiddie prints squares with solids. Other times I do rail fence, sometimes a basic bargello like Eleanor Burns does, just anything to keep from getting bored! Look at the Project Linus web site www.projectlinus.org They have some cute ones. Sometimes I find an easy pattern in fabric catalogs too.

I love to do chinese coins, d9p and crazy quilts. Anything to use up scraps....my scraps mulitply...the more I use for charity quilts the more I have...just like the women in the Bible with her jug not going empty. Yesterday a co worker's wife sent me a white garbage bag full of cotton scraps and yardage....what a wonderful surprise. It's all washed, pressed and I've brought it to work to start cutting up....I love fabric!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Previously, I made quilts for teenagers in hospital (age 14-19) and for mentally challenged adults. My favorite pattern is log cabin, but I also do I Spy hexagons (using teenager subjects) and 4 patch. Otherwise, it's just a quilt that I wanted to challenge myself to make, but just don't have the room to keep. I usually make them a lounge size, but occasionally, I make them longer since boys are tall.
