I think your blocks could easily NOT be test blocks but the real deal. Thanks for the link, too. BTW... did you notice the points on the link aren't perfect either? :D Just sayin'........

Points were too close to the edge. When I add sashing I'm going to lose a few points. I might take the first few apart and redo. Not quite sure yet.

The next 2 blocks were awesome!! Slow and easy is my new motto. :o

This is just from my experience. Make sure when sewing your pieces together when you get to the end you are not curving off a little at the end. I have taught my granddaughters to piece, and it is so easy to just sew less of a quarter inch at the very end. Also you could cut the outside pieces just a little bigger on that outside piece, so you have more light color outside your points, and then trim them to size.

Read what Holice wrote. I would cut the trianlges bigger and trim to get the 1/4", like amandasgramma said. Both of these suggestions should get you where you want to be.
Blocks are beautiful and the colors too.

Just looking at the pictures it looks like there is 1/4" at the tip of a point but I agree with the lady who suggested making the seams a tad narrowers. Those blocks are beautiful.
