Try ebay they have lots.

The part number for the good 15 class bobbins is 2518NS. The ones with the NS are a bit better than the 2518. You might even be able to find these online.

Good Luck!

I picked up a pack at the local repair place we both use. If you want to try one of those, let me know.

Try Sew Classic.com. You may find them there.

Sew-classic does carry them. However, they are now recommending a specific plastic bobbin instead of their metal bobbins. The note on the metal bobbins page said they used to test each metal bobbin before they sent it out to be sure it was ok, but can no longer do that and recommend one of their plastic bobbins.
I have purchased the class 15 metal bobbins from them in the past and no problems, and their plastic ones also, no problems. Their metal ones are on clearance, so I suspect they might stop carrying them because of the quality. Just a guess.

Try Babylock dealers. Several of their sewing and sashiko machines use class 15s. Some say better than the cheap version.

I've bought some at Joann's and they work fine.

I purchased my 15 metal bobbins from Nancy's Notions and they are just fine.

You might try a Brother dealer---they use 15 bobbins

Well this turned out to be complicated. Thanks for all the advice. I use my avatar and it's important that the bobbins fit on the winder. Annette said that Bernina ones won't fit, so that's out. I tried to find 2518NS bobbins but could not. I found tons that call themselves "2518" but I think the quality may be variable. Cindy Peters on ebay is not selling any longer. I'm wary of the ones sold by just anyone on ebay - they could be the same garbage I'm buying at WalMart. I did see some on ebay called "vintage" but they were quite pricey.

I've been too busy lately to hit the brick and mortar stores but I had a little time to do some online shopping.

I ended up ordering 2 different sets from Amazon. I ordered the ones that were "for Kenmores" which ClairVoyant recommended. I also took a chance on a set of 20 on Amazon for under $2. They got mixed reviews. If I am happy with either set, I'll order a lot more right away so I don't have to do this again!

NJQuilter, I may take you up on your offer of testing your bobbins in my machine next time we get together.
