I am looking for this fabric. I have thirty of these blocks, and I want to make more, I have a lot of hexagons cut out.
I have not been able to find it anywhere, and if somebody knows that would be great, or would I be able to reproduce it?

Sorry I can't help with finding the exact fabric...but.... did you ever think about finding something about the same background color and interspersing them.

Do you have any information on the fabric maker and/or the name of the line? How old is it? Selvage information would be ideal.

You can reproduce it on Printed Treasures or a similar inkjet fabric sheet if all else fails. The closeness of the copy to the original will depend on the quality of your printer.

No idea, It is just in the center of the blocks, and I didn't make them.

go to item search, describe your material such as yellow with white and hit Thumbnails. You may get thousands, but if you have the time you can look through each page and see it you can find it.

try this if you can't find what you're looking for:

plan #1. match up the background color in a solid. use that in place of the green.

find a small or medium print that features that green as the background fabric. use that in place of the yellow. alternate the blocks.

plan #2. someone here (patrice? loretta? moonpi?) knows how to design her own fabric. beg her or promise her housework for a year if she'll share that secret with you. i think it's patrice.

It is the yellow print. The solids are fairly easy to find, I know somebody that has a wholesaler contract, that can get me a bolt of 30s green, 4 bucks a yard. Its the print I have the issue with. The quilt is controlling me.... :roll:

i think it's patrice who has a way of duplicating prints or copying prints. ask her.

i tried once to scan and print a fabric i loved, ran out of, and couldn't find anywhere. the results were not good.

i designed and printed my own instead. there's really no secret to it. all you need is the right software. anything that you can plunk some clipart into and play around. i use Bubble Jet Set and print on 200-count white muslin. i want to try printing on kona cotton, too, but haven't gotten around to it.

i know it's hard to let go when you have your heart set on a specific fabric for a quilt and can't find more. still ... i also encourage you to look for something else for your additional centers. whether it's something similar, or something that's completely different but complimentary, i'll betcha dimes to donuts you'll be surprised by how much you love the results. :wink:
