How about your local 'merchandiser' paper. Most places do have a local paper that is just all ads for everyone's everything, that they don't want any more. Also, perhaps shipping will not be in play, since you live 'sew' close..

I'm lucky and we have a local bookstore called Mr. K's that you can trade in your books or sell them. You obviously get more trade $ than if you sell them. To me it's feels like renting because when I'm done with a book and it's not a keeper I can trade it without losing all the money I spent on it. They have more romance novels than anything else but they take any and all kinds.

We have a local list serve that is updated constantly to sell items. It's sort of like a community bulletin board. The other option would be Craigslist, selling the whole lot. Stay safe with the craigslist option, I don't like strangers coming to my house. Maybe meet the buyers in a public place. Cash only.

You might check the books you want to sell on Amazon -- sometimes they offer more money if you are willing to send them your book, depending on what the books are going for and how hard they are to find.
