Where do you buy Invisafil on-line in Canada?

I've spoken to two stores and they want $18-$20.00 to ship two small spools.
Anyone have a better source?

And, where is the best place in the States to buy it? Maybe I'll end up buying it there and having it shipping to my PO Box. Ridiculous.

I've bought it in the store My Sewing Room in Calgary. I know people phone them and ask them to ship out things so they're worth a try. Very nice staff in my opinion!

What colour do you need? Send me a private message.
Maybe I can help.

I've ordered from Creative House in Saskatoon. If I recall correctly, shipping was reasonable. In some cases, the shipping indicated at time of order can be "adjusted" if you give vendors a call.

I don't know about online sources, but I am sure there are some.

Normally I buy it at Triangle Sewing, Guelph.
I know I have bought it other places .... but right now can't remember where!

What is Invisifil used for?

Claire123 09-28-2017 08:24 PM

Yes, that does seem high. My LQS carries it so I just get it there. I think it is $4.25 or so. I am not really sure where to get it online. Maybe you could get a group of friends together and place a large online order.

Petthefabric, it is used (in this instance) for stitch in the ditch and I need particular colours. It is super fine so when I make a mistake it won't be so noticeable. :D

Watson ... that's exactly how I started using it. Also works fine for FMQing work. Later I found that it was wonderful when doing hand applique for its invisibility! :) I haven't bought any for quite awhile, but it used to be you could buy a box with a selection of colours (five, I think?), so I stockpiled and got quite an assortment.

PetTheFabric ... It's 100 wt thread and comes in a full range of colours. Because it is so fine, it becomes next thing to invisible.
